Scientists search for hidden clues in lung cancer tissue
NCT ID NCT00897117
Summary
This study collects leftover lung tissue from 4,000 patients undergoing surgery for early-stage lung cancer. Researchers analyze these samples to look for specific molecular patterns (like protein and RNA 'fingerprints'). The goal is to learn how these patterns relate to how the cancer behaves and patient outcomes, which could help guide future treatments.
