Scientists hunt for lung Cancer's first clues in At-Risk miners
NCT ID NCT00340405
Summary
This study aimed to collect and store biological samples from thousands of tin miners in China who are at very high risk for lung cancer. The goal was to create a 'biobank' of samples to help researchers find early warning signs of the disease and understand what causes it. Participants provided annual samples like sputum and blood, and their health was tracked over time to see who developed cancer.
