New lymph node test may catch hidden lung cancer cells
NCT ID NCT07301983
First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study looks at a new lab technique called OSNA that can detect very small amounts of cancer cells in lymph nodes from people with early-stage lung cancer. About 130 participants having robotic lung surgery will be randomly assigned to have their lymph nodes checked either with the new OSNA method or with standard microscope analysis. The goal is to see if OSNA finds hidden cancer spread more accurately, which could help doctors stage the disease better and guide treatment decisions.
