Microscope-in-a-Needle aims to spot lung cancer on the spot

NCT ID NCT05556525

Summary

This study tested whether adding a special microscopic camera inside a biopsy needle could help doctors diagnose lung cancer more accurately during a standard lung exam. Patients with suspicious lung nodules were randomly assigned to receive either the standard biopsy or the biopsy with the new imaging tool. The goal was to see if the new method could provide a correct diagnosis faster and with fewer needle passes.
