Microscope-in-a-Needle aims for faster lung cancer answers

NCT ID NCT05556525

Summary

This study tested whether adding a special microscopic camera (called nCLE) to a standard lung biopsy procedure could help doctors diagnose lung cancer more quickly and accurately. Patients with suspicious lung nodules were randomly assigned to get either the standard biopsy or the biopsy with the new imaging tool. The goal was to see if the new method could provide a correct diagnosis on the first tissue sample, potentially reducing the need for repeat procedures.
