Light at home: could a simple device ease psoriasis and hair loss?
NCT ID NCT05391178
First seen Nov 05, 2025 · Last updated May 06, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This study tested a light-based device called Lumiton to see if it could improve skin and hair conditions like psoriasis, alopecia areata, and polymorphous light eruption. Eighteen adults used the device at home, and researchers measured changes in disease severity using photos and standard scores. The goal was to find a more accessible treatment option for people who cannot easily get to a clinic for light therapy.
