Glowing clothes tested to fight skin disease

NCT ID NCT05391178

Summary

This study tested a special fabric called Lumiton that converts sunlight into therapeutic red and near-infrared light. It aimed to see if wearing clothes made from this fabric could help control symptoms of psoriasis, alopecia areata (hair loss), and polymorphous light eruption (a sun rash). The small trial involved 18 adults in the US with these conditions to measure changes in their skin and hair.
