NCT ID NCT07184034

First seen Sep 30, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study looks at 150 adults aged 40-70 who are at medium risk for heart disease. Researchers want to see if higher levels of a blood fat called lipoprotein(a) are linked to more calcium buildup in the heart arteries, as seen on a CT scan. Participants will get a CT scan and give a blood sample. The goal is to learn if Lp(a) can help predict early heart disease better than standard risk factors.
