Can kids with chronic throat disease take less medicine?

NCT ID NCT05309590

Summary

This study is testing whether children with a chronic inflammatory condition of the esophagus (Eosinophilic Esophagitis) can stay in remission using half their usual steroid dose. It aims to see if this lower dose is enough to control the disease while potentially reducing the risk of long-term steroid side effects, like impacts on growth and bone health. The trial involves about 50 children and young adults under 21 who are already in remission on a standard steroid dose.
