First seen Jan 16, 2026 · Last updated May 10, 2026 · Updated 15 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a low sulfur diet can reduce ongoing symptoms like belly pain and diarrhea in people whose Crohn's disease is otherwise quiet. Twenty adults with Crohn's in remission will be randomly assigned to either a low sulfur diet or their usual diet for 8 weeks. Participants will work with nutritionists, have two in-person visits, and undergo tests for rectal sensation, bacterial overgrowth, and leaky gut.
