Low sulfur diet may soothe Crohn's symptoms
NCT ID NCT05849012
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study looks at whether a low sulfur diet can reduce ongoing symptoms like belly pain and diarrhea in people whose Crohn's disease is otherwise quiet. Twenty adults with Crohn's in remission will either follow a low sulfur diet or their usual diet for 8 weeks. Participants work with nutritionists and have tests for gut sensitivity, bacterial overgrowth, and leaky gut. The goal is to see if changing diet can improve daily comfort.
