Cancer treatment breakthrough? gentler steroid dose fights dangerous liver side effect

NCT ID NCT07167251

Summary

This study is testing if a lower, gentler dose of steroids can safely treat liver inflammation that sometimes occurs as a side effect of powerful cancer immunotherapies. It will involve about 63 adult cancer patients who develop this specific liver issue. The goal is to see if the lower dose works just as well as higher doses, which can cause more side effects and might weaken the cancer-fighting power of the immunotherapy.
