Cheaper knee arthritis injection shows promise in early test

NCT ID NCT06184048

Summary

This study tested a new, low-cost method for making platelet-rich plasma (PRP), a treatment injection for knee osteoarthritis. Researchers compared their cheaper PRP to standard, expensive kits to see if it worked the same. They also tracked pain and function in 20 patients with knee arthritis over a year to see if the treatment helped.
