Can a Low-Carb diet outperform standard advice for diabetes?

NCT ID NCT05330247

Summary

This study is testing whether a low-carbohydrate, high-protein diet works better than a standard diabetes diet for managing type 2 diabetes. For 12 months, 100 adults with type 2 diabetes and overweight will follow one of these two diets, with most of their food provided in meal boxes. Researchers will measure changes in blood sugar control, body weight, and other health markers to see which diet is more effective.
