Can cutting carbs help teens beat diabetes?
NCT ID NCT06902077
Summary
This study is testing whether a low-carbohydrate diet can help teenagers with type 2 diabetes better control their blood sugar and improve their body's response to insulin. Over 24 weeks, 40 participants aged 12-18 will follow either a low-carb diet or the standard diabetes diet while researchers track their progress. The goal is to see if reducing carbs leads to better diabetes management, weight loss, and potentially less need for medication in this young population.
