First seen Feb 23, 2026 · Last updated May 11, 2026 · Updated 5 times

Summary

This study will test whether a low-calorie diet rich in medium-chain triglycerides (MCTs) from traditional Minangkabau coconut-based foods can improve metabolic health in 40 adults with obesity. Researchers will measure changes in weight, waist size, blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol, and leptin levels. The goal is to see if this diet can shift participants from unhealthy to healthier obesity status.
