First seen Jun 09, 2026 · Last updated Jun 12, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This study tests a new, wearable loupe that helps surgeons see brain tumor tissue during surgery using a special dye. The goal is to see if this small, low-cost device works as well as a large microscope to guide tumor removal. The study will enroll 30 adults with glioblastoma or anaplastic astrocytoma who are scheduled for surgery. Researchers will compare the loupe's accuracy against standard lab analysis of removed tissue.
