Could a simple pill make IUD insertion less painful? a feasibility study

NCT ID NCT06496854

Summary

This was a small pilot study to see if it's practical to prescribe lorazepam, a medication for anxiety, before an IUD insertion to help reduce pain and anxiety. It planned to enroll 25 adults and have them rate their pain and anxiety before and after the procedure. The main goal was to gather information to plan a larger future study, but this specific trial was withdrawn before any participants were enrolled.
