First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 26, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study follows 36 patients with aplastic anemia who previously received romiplostim in earlier trials. Researchers will monitor blood cell counts and safety for up to 5 years to see if benefits last and to check for any new health issues. The goal is to better understand the long-term effects of this treatment.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance

romiplostim

What this could lead to

If successful, this could confirm whether romiplostim provides lasting benefits for aplastic anemia patients without ongoing treatment.

What could go wrong

This is an observational follow-up, not a new treatment trial. It may not show clear long-term benefits, and results depend on a small group of patients.
