Summary

This study follows 20 people who have already used a flexible silicone tube device (NPA-OSA) for obstructive sleep apnea. Participants will continue using the device at night for up to 12 months. Researchers will check if the device keeps working well by measuring sleep apnea events and having participants fill out sleep questionnaires.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only โ€” not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance
nasopharyngeal airway obstructive sleep apnea (NPA-OSA) device
What this could lead to
If successful, this could show that the NPA-OSA device is a safe and effective long-term option for managing obstructive sleep apnea without a CPAP machine.
What could go wrong
This is a very small follow-up study with only 20 people, so results may not apply to everyone. The device may be uncomfortable or not work well for all users.
