Summary
This study looks at the long-term safety and tolerability of the drug mitapivat in adults with stable sickle cell disease. Participants, who previously benefited from mitapivat in an earlier study, take the drug twice daily for up to 48 weeks, with an option to continue for another 48 weeks. The goal is to monitor side effects and see if the drug remains safe over time.
