10-Year heart scan study seeks best way to track plaque buildup
NCT ID NCT06237673
Summary
This study followed 318 patients with chest pain for about 10 years to compare two different heart scan strategies. Researchers wanted to see whether starting with a CT scan or going straight to a more invasive angiography procedure resulted in less plaque buildup in the arteries over the long term. The goal was to gather knowledge about which initial testing approach might lead to better long-term heart health management.
