Summary
This completed study followed 32 people who received a single metal-ceramic crown to see if it causes gum changes over 8 years. Researchers compared the gum health around the crowned tooth to the same natural tooth on the opposite side of the mouth. They measured plaque, bleeding, pocket depth, and gum recession during routine dental exams.
