New depression drug enters final Long-Term safety testing

Summary

This study follows adults with major depressive disorder who previously participated in related research to see how safe and effective the experimental drug azetukalner is over a longer period. About 460 participants will continue taking the medication while researchers monitor side effects and track changes in depression symptoms, daily functioning, and quality of life. The goal is to understand if this treatment provides lasting benefits for depression management.
