Mayo clinic tests new breath treatment for long COVID's debilitating brain fog

NCT ID NCT06614309

Summary

This Mayo Clinic study is testing if breathing controlled mixtures of air with slightly less oxygen and more carbon dioxide can help people with Long COVID who have 'brain fog.' Researchers will measure changes in brain blood flow, heart rate, and cognitive test scores to see if this non-invasive approach improves thinking problems and fatigue. The goal is to find a safe way to ease these common and disruptive Long COVID symptoms.
