Doctors test skipping general anesthesia for cancer Check-Ups
NCT ID NCT06848868
Summary
This small pilot study is testing whether a camera procedure to check for returning kidney cancer can be done safely using only local numbing gel, without putting patients to sleep with general anesthesia. It will involve 10 people who have previously had surgery to remove a specific type of kidney cancer. The main goal is to see if doctors can successfully see the entire kidney and ureter using this more comfortable, outpatient method.
