Summary
This study tested whether lixisenatide, a drug used for diabetes, could slow the worsening of movement problems in people with early Parkinson's disease. 156 participants received either the drug or a placebo alongside their usual Parkinson's medications. The goal was to see if lixisenatide could modify the disease course over 12 months.
