Can a simple liver scan predict dangerous heart complications after surgery?
NCT ID NCT06777355
Summary
This study aimed to see if a special ultrasound scan of the liver could help doctors spot heart problems after major heart surgery. Researchers followed 32 patients who had heart surgery to see if changes in blood flow to the liver were linked to poor heart function. The goal was to find a simpler, non-invasive way to monitor patients and predict serious complications like kidney or liver failure.
