First seen Jun 08, 2026 · Last updated Jun 15, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study looks at whether discarding the first blood that flows through a newly transplanted liver can reduce complications. The idea is that this blood contains harmful substances that can stress the heart, kidneys, and new liver. Researchers will compare this method to standard care in 132 adults receiving a liver transplant.
