Doctors track how long liver transplant patients go without fluids before surgery
NCT ID NCT07288281
Summary
This study aims to understand how long patients scheduled for a liver transplant fast from clear liquids like water or juice before their surgery. Researchers will observe 100 patients to see if the length of this fasting period is connected to changes in their blood pressure, heart rate, and blood sugar levels during the transplant operation. The goal is to gather information that could help improve future patient care, not to test a new treatment.
