Liver surgery fluid puzzle: too little vs. too much?
NCT ID NCT07440121
Summary
This study aims to find the best balance of fluids given during liver surgery. It will compare a restrictive fluid approach, which surgeons often prefer to reduce bleeding, with a more liberal approach, which may better protect the kidneys and other organs. The goal is to see which method leads to fewer serious complications, like kidney injury, after surgery. The trial will involve 90 adults undergoing planned liver surgery.
