Scientists hunt for gut bacteria clues in liver disease
NCT ID NCT06519162
Summary
This study aims to understand the connection between gut bacteria and several chronic liver diseases. Researchers will compare blood and stool samples from 3,000 adult patients with conditions like autoimmune hepatitis and fatty liver disease to samples from their healthy household members. The goal is to identify specific patterns of gut bacteria that might be linked to these diseases, which could inform future research.
