First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 04, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study looks at using a special ultrasound (liver elastography) to measure liver scarring in children with type III glycogen storage disease, a rare condition that can lead to serious liver problems. Researchers will review past elastography results from 30 participants aged 0 to 21 to see how well this painless method works for monitoring liver health without needing a biopsy.
