New program aims to catch silent liver damage before It's too late
NCT ID NCT07031089
Summary
This study is testing a new system to help family doctors find liver scarring (fibrosis) earlier in patients at risk from alcohol, obesity, or diabetes. It connects primary care clinics with a hospital to provide a special scan (Fibroscan) for patients with a high initial blood test score. The main goal is to see if patients with concerning scan results actually get the follow-up specialist care they need.
