First seen Mar 28, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 5 times

Summary

This study tests a new, fast MRI method to measure liver scarring (fibrosis) without needing a needle biopsy. The scan takes less than 8 seconds while you hold your breath. Researchers will compare the new MRI results with standard tests in 200 adults to see if it can catch early-stage liver damage.
