Summary
This study aims to understand how various liver conditions, like fatty liver disease, hepatitis B, and liver scarring, develop and progress. Researchers will analyze blood and small pieces of leftover liver tissue from 240 patients who are already having surgery or a biopsy for their condition. By creating a detailed cellular map, they hope to discover new targets for future treatments like gene or cell therapy.
