New scan aims to spot hidden liver dangers
NCT ID NCT07122622
Summary
This study is testing a special type of ultrasound scan to see if it can accurately detect dangerous high blood pressure in the liver and identify risky swollen veins in the food pipe (esophagus). It involves 450 adults with advanced liver disease. The goal is to gather information to improve future diagnosis, but the scan itself does not change a patient's current treatment plan.
