New 'Liver Dialysis' machine aims to rescue failing livers
NCT ID NCT07347275
Summary
This study is testing a device called DIALIVE 2.0, which works like dialysis for the liver. It aims to help people with sudden, severe liver failure on top of long-term liver disease by filtering toxins from their blood and replacing a key protein. The trial will compare the device plus standard hospital care to standard care alone in 72 patients to see if it helps resolve organ failure and improve survival.
