Massive study tracks liver patients to find best shunt practices

Summary

This study aims to gather real-world information on a common procedure for liver cirrhosis called TIPS. It will follow 852 patients for up to 5 years after they get the shunt as part of their normal care. The goal is to create a database to answer key questions about how to best use the procedure to manage complications while minimizing side effects.
