Massive study aims to solve blood clot mystery in liver disease
NCT ID NCT07422701
Summary
This study aims to better understand a dangerous blood clot complication called portal vein thrombosis (PVT) in people with liver cirrhosis. It will follow about 2,500 patients over time to identify who is most at risk, measure how the clots affect health and survival, and compare outcomes for patients who do or do not receive blood-thinning medication. The goal is to gather evidence to help doctors make better, safer treatment decisions in the future.
