New injection aims to stop Cancer's return after liver treatment

NCT ID NCT07321847

Summary

This study is testing if a new injectable drug, called IP-001, can help prevent cancer from returning after a standard heat-based treatment (ablation) for colorectal cancer that has spread only to the liver. Researchers want to see if injecting IP-001 into the treated tumor area can activate the body's immune system to find and destroy any remaining cancer cells, keeping the cancer away longer. The study will compare the standard ablation procedure alone to the procedure plus either a high or low dose of IP-001.
