New device aims to sharpen aim of liver cancer radiation

NCT ID NCT05128032

Summary

This study is testing if a new type of catheter can better target radiation to liver tumors during a standard treatment called radioembolization. About 20 adults with liver cancer will have their standard treatment planning scan done with either the new device or a standard catheter to see which one delivers more of a test dose to the tumor versus healthy liver. The goal is to see if the new device could make future radiation treatments more effective and safer.
