First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 25, 2026 · Updated 26 times

Summary

This study looks at how giving IV nutrition (parenteral support) changes the results of a liver stiffness test called FibroScan in people with short bowel syndrome. The goal is to find the best time to check the liver so doctors get accurate readings. Twenty adults who need regular IV nutrition will be tested before, during, and after their infusion.
