Summary

This study tests if lisinopril, a common blood pressure drug, can lower red blood cell levels in people with polycythemia (too many red blood cells). Researchers will measure changes in hemoglobin, hematocrit, and a hormone called erythropoietin. The trial enrolls 30 adults with high red blood cell counts not caused by common genetic mutations or smoking.
