Daily shot tested to help kids lose weight

Summary
This study is testing whether a daily injection called liraglutide, combined with lifestyle counseling, can help children aged 6 to 12 with obesity manage their weight. For 56 weeks, about 78 children will receive either the real medicine or a placebo (dummy) injection, and neither they nor the doctors will know which one they get. The main goal is to see how much the medicine affects body mass index (BMI) and body weight, while closely checking for any side effects.
