Liquid biopsy trial aims to outsmart HPV cancers
NCT ID NCT05774561
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study is testing whether liquid biopsies (blood tests that look for bits of HPV and tumor DNA) can help doctors monitor treatment and spot early signs of cancer returning in people with HPV-related cervical and oropharyngeal cancers. Researchers will follow 480 participants for up to 4 years, collecting samples before, during, and after treatment. The goal is to find the best way to use these tests to improve care, but this study does not test a new treatment itself.
