NCT ID NCT04981288

First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 29 times

Summary

This study looks for better ways to measure fats and energy use in blood samples. Twenty-four healthy, non-smoking adults will give blood through a standard vein draw and finger pricks, both at the clinic and at home using a mail-in kit. The goal is to see if at-home finger-prick samples work as well as clinic samples for analyzing fatty acids and cell energy. This is a methods-development study, not a treatment trial.
