Summary
This study is testing whether a newer mixed-oil nutritional formula works better than the standard soybean-oil formula for extremely premature babies. Researchers want to see if the newer formula helps more babies survive without serious lung disease and improves their brain development at age two. The trial will enroll 230 infants born before 28 weeks or weighing less than 2.2 pounds.
