Scientists seek volunteers to unlock secrets of blood fat disorders
NCT ID NCT00353782
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This study looks at people with lipid disorders—conditions where fats like cholesterol are too high or too low in the blood. Researchers want to learn how these fats cause diseases like hardening of the arteries. Up to 2,000 adults and children (ages 2 and up) will have their blood tested and be monitored over time. The goal is to better diagnose and treat these conditions, not to test a new drug.
