Moms and kids team up to fight heart disease in new fitness study

Summary
This pilot study tests a 12-week community fitness program called Lion Hearts, designed for mothers and their children (ages 10-17) to improve heart health together. The program includes twice-weekly exercise sessions at local CrossFit gyms, plus health education and goal setting. Researchers will measure changes in physical activity, fitness, and heart health markers to see if the program is practical and effective. About 100 mother-child pairs will participate.
