Shining a light on arthritis pain: new study tests dual treatment
NCT ID NCT07079969
Summary
This study aims to see if combining two treatments—a special light therapy called photobiomodulation and a topical pain-relief gel (diclofenac)—works better than light therapy alone for reducing inflammation, pain, and improving function in people with knee osteoarthritis. Researchers will enroll 32 adults with chronic knee pain to compare the effects. The goal is to find out if the combination provides stronger relief by measuring pain levels, inflammation markers, and how well the knee works.
